Porcelain Crowns to Restore Teeth Damaged by Bulimia

Jenni (not her real name, as she prefers to stay anonymous), suffered from bulimia as a teen, but she'd recovered and had been embarrassed about her smile for years.  The acid had eroded the enamel right off the teeth, leaving them short, square, and almost see-through. She ultimately chose all-porcelain crowns made of Zirconia, an extremely strong porcelain, to rebuild her top teeth.  As you can see, the change was dramatic!

Porcelain-to-Gold (Captek) Crowns to Cover Tetracycline-Stained Teeth

When Chan first came to see Dr. Payet, he had several concerns, but in particular, he was unhappy about the old porcelain-to-metal crowns, which he'd had put on many years before to cover his teeth, which had been stained dark brown by tetracycline when he was a child.  The ugly grey lines are typical of such old crowns, and the definitely don't look natural.  In addition, the old crowns were dark yellow, very monochomatic, and opaque.  Chan wanted bright white, but still natural-looking teeth.  He ultimately chose Captek crowns, which are porcelain-fused-to-gold base. That gold base covered the tetracycline stains and gives the teeth a beautiful warm vibrance, that was complimented by the artisty of the lab that helps Dr. Payet create such beautiful smiles.
